Description:The aircon servicing involved a very thorough chemical overhaul / wash of the air conditioning unit. The service is needed when a general cleaning of the aircon unit does not improve the condition. During a chemical wash, our technicians will thoroughly wash the metal coil using a special foaming chemical solvent. This will break down any grease or stubborn dust which cannot be shifted with a general service. Unlike some aircon maintenance companies, we'll remove the coil before cleaning - it's the only way to thoroughly rinse the coil and remove any corrosive solvent residue.

As air-conditioning units are machines after all, they will definitely break down some times. Therefore it will be beneficial for you if you know some information on how you can troubleshoot air-conditioning units.

- Why is your air-con unit leaking?
A normal air conditioner will have water condensate in the indoor fancoil and discharge through a draining pipe to the nearest drain. The drainage pipe could be choked with dirty particles so the water cannot be drained out, causing leaking from the unit. Another reason could be due to poor installation by the contractor whereby there is no proper gradient of the drainage pipe. - Why is your air-con unit not cold?
The blower and air filters may be dirty and clogged with dust resulting weak dissipation of cool air. Or it can also be the desired operating thermostat/temperature is set too high. Or the air-con unit installed is undersize. There may not be enough refrigerant in the air conditioning system. - Why is the air con smelly?
The smell comes from bacteria formed by microbes in the warm dark humid environment in the indoor fancoil unit. This could be due to the smell of cigarettes, odours or other air pollutants being sucked into your air-con unit. Sometimes when the smell is very bad you may need a more intensive chemical treatment to rectify this problem. - Why is the air con noisy?
Noise is normally generated from vibration noise resulted from dirty indoor fan coil unit or outdoor condenser. Loose mounting of component in the air conditioning system and faulty parts in the air conditioning system. -
